Foodsharing platforms – Something for everyone! 

Foodsharing can make an important contribution to reducing food waste by minimizing resource wastage and promoting sustainable behavior in society. The concept is simple: food providers – such as restaurants or supermarkets – offer leftover food for pickup. There are already platforms within the community for this purpose, some of which were tested in this study for their usability in food rescue.

Ridesharing platforms for organizing carpools are now an integral part of modern mobility services. This study examined how usable it is to offer a ride as a driver and to book one as a passenger, based on four web-based and seven app-based ridesharing services.
